Tahini sesame paste recalled due to salmonella concerns
International Golden Foods (IGF) has issued a recall of their 1 lb containers of tahini sesame paste due to salmonella concerns. Tahini is a Middle Eastern condiment made from toasted hulled ground sesame that’s often used as a dip or ingredient in hummus and a few other mediterranean dishes.
Just a couple weeks ago we wrote about a recall by ProSource Produce of red, yellow, and white onions originating from Chihuahua, Mexico. Shortly thereafter, a recall was initiated by Potandon Produce. Both recalls were issued over salmonella concerns, and Potandon Produce has now updated their recall.

ProSource Produce, an American company based out of Idaho, has issued a recall of their onions originating from Chihuahua, Mexico over a possible salmonella contamination. The onions were shipped from Chihuahua between July 1, 2021 and August 31, 2021 to retailers in 35 states and 2 Canadian provinces.

Avanti Frozen Foods Pvt. Ltd, has issued a voluntary recall of 9 varieties of frozen shrimp over salmonella concerns after half a dozen customers were sickened by consuming the recalled product. The recalled shrimp was sold across the United States between December 202 and February 2021.
