Whole Foods Caesar Dressing recalled due to undeclared soy and wheat

One of the most popular store-bought dressings at Whole Foods, or anywhere for that matter, is being recalled. Van Law Food Products Inc. has issued a recall of Whole Foods Market 365 Organic Creamy Caesar Dressing due to undeclared soy and wheat allergens.

Recalled Product:

Whole Foods Market 365 Organic Creamy Caesar Dressing

12 ounce glass bottle

UPC # 99482-49027

Best By Date of 04/06/2023

Any recall is important, but the importance of this one is amplified due to the popularity of the product and the fact that soy and wheat were accidentally excluded on the ingredients list during the manufacturing process. Individuals with soy or wheat allergies are at risk for a serious or life-threatening reaction when consuming undeclared soy or wheat. The recalled dressing was shipped to Whole Foods stores in more than 2 dozen states. With a Best By Date that’s nearly 9 months away, it’s possible you have this dressing in your pantry or refrigerator.

Initial reports appear to point to the issue being a label for another product placed on the back of the dressing bottle by accident.Fortunately, so far no illnesses have been reported related to this recall. Customers that purchased the recalled product can return or discard it and receive a refund from their Whole Foods place of purchase.
