Unwelcome ingredient, rocks, leads to recall of frozen meals
It seems as though they’re putting anything and everything in frozen power bowls these days. Unfortunately, an unwelcome ingredient, rocks, has led to a USDA recall. Frozen meals produced and sold by Conagra Brands, Inc. on January 23, 2020 are being recalled because they “may contain extraneous material, specifically small rocks.”
Recalled Product:
9.5-oz. cartons containing “Healthy Choice POWER BOWLS Chicken Feta & Farro” with lot code 5006002320, UPC code 072655001800 and a best by date of 10/19/2020 on the label.
9.5-oz. cartons containing “Healthy Choice POWER BOWLS Chicken Feta & Farro, BOILS ÈNERGIE Poulet feta et épeautre” with lot code 5006002320, UPC code 072655003026 and a best by date of 10/19/2020 on the label.
The recalled products can be identified by their establishment number, which is “P115”. It’s printed on the packaging. The Healthy Choice Power Bowls were distributed across the United States as well as Canada. Consumers are urged to throw the products away or return them to their retailer for a refund.
