TJ Farms cauliflower recalled over listeria concerns

Looking for another reason to avoid eating cauliflower? Well, Flagship Food Group has just given you one. Flagship Food Group and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has just issued a recall for TJ Farms Select Cauliflower due to a listeria monocytogenes contamination.

Recalled Products:

TJ Farms Cauliflower 16 oz.

Lot Code #2077890089

UPC Code #75544000604-3

Listeria monocytogenes as you know by now can lead to listeriosis. As we’ve written before, listeriosis isn’t typically dangerous for young and healthy adults. Children, the elderly, and those with weakened immune systems are at more risk though when it comes to listeriosis. Infections in healthy individuals might result in little more than headaches, nausea, abdominal pain, diarrhea, etc. For those most at risk though, fatal listeria infections are not unheard of. Fortunately, so far no illnesses have been reported related to this recall.

At this time, there are no other Flagship Food Group or TJ Farms recalls, and this one specific lot of cauliflower is the only one being recalled. If you purchased the recalled cauliflower you can return it to your retailer for a refund or discard it.
