More than 400 products recalled by Family Dollar for being improperly stored

Between May 1, 2022 and June 20, 2022, Family Dollar shipped products that were improperly stored to numerous Family Dollar stores. Family Dollar says the products were “inadvertently shipped” after being “stored outside of labeled temperature requirements”. Many of the products recalled are from well-known brands, brands such as Advil, Crest, Dayquil, Tylenol, and more.

The recall was initiated on July 21, 2022 by Family Dollar in cooperation with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. Family Dollar has notified the stores that received the recalled products to “quarantine and discontinue the sale of any affected product…” While the recalled products were shipped nationwide, the recall does not pertain to the states of Alaska or Hawaii, as those states do not have Family Dollar stores. Nor does it apply to Delaware as Family Dollar has confirmed no Delaware stores received any of the recalled products.

Customers that purchased any of the more than 400 recalled products should return them to their Family Dollar store for a refund. If you’re experiencing any adverse reactions from the recalled products, you should contact your healthcare providers immediately. So far, no illnesses have been reported related to this recall. A comprehensive list of the recalled products can be found at the link below.
