Mold byproduct leads to recall of 3 dog foods
Sunshine Mills, in conjunction with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, has voluntarily recalled 3 varieties of their dog foods due to as Fox News explains, “mold byproduct that is potentially above acceptable levels.”
Recalled Dog Foods:

Aflatoxin is the toxic chemical that showed elevated levels. According to the FDA, it’s a “naturally occurring mold byproduct”, and is harmful to pets. The elevated toxins levels were discovered after a routine inspection by the Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry. So far, no illnesses have been reported, and the recall was issued out of an abundance of caution.
The recalled dog foods were distributed to retailers nationwide, and was also sold online. If you purchased the recalled dog foods, you can return them to your retailer for a full refund. Only the above Sunshine Mills dog foods have been recalled at this time.
