More than a handful of nuts snacks have been recalled due to the potential presence of glass

Nearly a dozen varieties of packaged nuts have been recalled due to the possible presence of glass shards. SunTree Snack Foods LLC, issued the recall after a customer alerted them to the presence of glass in one of their recent purchases.

The recalled products were shipped to retailers in 12 states (Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia and the District of Columbia. Complicating matters is that the products were sold in numerous sizes and under the names of various retailers where the nuts could be found. The recalled nuts were sold in packages as small as 8 ounces and as large as 44 ounces. The retailers that received the recalled nuts subjected to the recall are: Harris Teeter, HEB, Happy Belly, and Prince & Spring.

SunTree Snack Foods stresses that they’re taking this action out of an abundance of caution. If you’ve purchased any of the recalled varieties of nuts, you can return them to your local retailer for a refund.
