Consuming products containing elevated levels of lead can lead to lead poisoning. Unlike some other foodborne illnesses, lead poisoning can be extremely dangerous for consumers of all ages. While lead is found in almost every product we encounter these days, we’re usually only exposed to small, safe levels of lead.

So far, no illnesses have been reported related to this recall. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has been made aware of the recall issued by Rojas Inc. If you purchased these recalled plums, you should discard them or return them to your retailer for a refund. You can also contact the company if you have further questions by calling 1-323-266-2192 or by email at sales@rojasinc.com.
