Daily Harvest recalls French Lentil + Leek Crumbles after customers end up sick

Between April 28, 2022 and June 17, 2022, Daily Harvest distributed 28,000 units of frozen French Lentil + Leek Crumbles to customers through online and direct delivery sales, as well as “pop-up shops in Chicago and Los Angeles. They’re now being recalled after nearly 500 customers reported illnesses or adverse reactions.

So far, 470 consumer illnesses or adverse reactions have been reported. These illnesses were linked to both a “gastrointestinal illness” and “potential liver function issues”. Daily Harvest is working with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration on this recall. Daily Harvest has ceased production and distribution of the recalled products until they can determine the cause of the issue.

Daily Harvest has reached out directly through email to customers that they have the contact information for, and they’re issuing credits for the recalled product. At this time, no other Daily Harvest product is being recalled.
