Connection to Almark Foods listeria outbreak leads to two more recalls

The fallout from the Almark Foods recall continues. Two more companies, Reichel Foods Inc. and Great American Deli, have now recalled foods over listeria concerns. The latest recall comes just a week after the initial “nationwide alert” was issued by Almark Foods and the FDA.

Consumption of Listeria monocytogenes can lead to listeria. Listeria symptoms can last from days to weeks, and usually include a fever, muscle aches, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. In some cases, severe symptoms such as headaches, a stiff neck, confusion, loss of balance, and convulsions are possible.
