Blood pressure medicine produced by Pfizer recalled due to elevated nitrosamine levels

The recall includes 6 lots of Accuretic tablets, 1 lot of Quinapril tablets, 1 lot of Hydrochlorothiazide tablets, and 4 lots of Quinapril HCI/Hydrochlorothiazide tablets. Nitrosamine is often found in water and foods such as: cured and grilled meats, dairy products, as well as vegetables. So while it’s not uncommon, the elevated levels in these meds are what’s at the heart of this recall.
