Organic Enoki mushrooms recalls due to possible listeria contamination

This post is short, but nonetheless important. Conah Organic Enoki Mushroom, 200g bags originating from Industry, California have been recalled because they may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. Listeria monocytogenes can of course lead to listeriosis, a potentially life threatening illness.

The recalled mushrooms originated in California, and were sold in retailers nationwide. Relatively, healthy individuals suffering from listeriosis might experience symptoms such as: high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea. For those that are young, elderly, pregnant, or with compromised immune systems, a Listeria infection could be deadly. If you purchased the recalled mushrooms, you’re urged to return them to your retailer for a refund.
