Organic Enoki mushrooms recalls due to possible listeria contamination

Listeria monocytogenes can of course lead to listeriosis, a potentially life threatening illness.

The recalled mushrooms originated in California, and were sold in retailers nationwide. Relatively, healthy individuals suffering from listeriosis might experience symptoms such as: high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea. For those that are young, elderly, pregnant, or with compromised immune systems, a Listeria infection could be deadly. If you purchased the recalled mushrooms, you’re urged to return them to your retailer for a refund.
