Almost 15,000 pounds of Butterball turkey recalled due to presence of plastics
The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) has issued a press release regarding a recall of nearly 15,000 pounds of ground Butterball turkey. According to reports, the recall was initiated by Butterball after consumers complained of “blue plastics” in their ground turkey.

Butterball All Natural Ground Turkey

Sell by date October 18, 2021
Kroger Ground Turkey (trays)
Production date September 28, 2021
Sell by date October 17, 2021
In their release, FSIS warns that the ground turkey may in fact be “contaminated with extraneous materials”. Customers that purchased the recalled meat should return it to their retailer for a refund or throw it away. At this time, there have been no reported illnesses related to this recall.
