
Whole and cut cantaloupe sold at Meijer stores recalled due to salmonella concerns
More than 2 dozen varieties of whole and cut cantaloupe fruit trays and bowls sold at Meijer stores are being recalled due to salmonella concerns. The recalled cantaloupe was packaged in conjunction with Eagle Product, LLC in Aguila, Arizona. Salmonella in healthy individuals typically only leads to minor illnesses like diarrhea, fever, nausea, and vomiting. In individuals with compromised immune systems, children, and the elderly though it can be especially dangerous.

The recalled products were sold at all Meijer stores in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, and Wisconsin between September 26, 2020 and October 5, 2020. The cantaloupe came in packages that weighed between 6 and 40 ounces. If you purchased the recalled products you should discard them immediately, or return them to your local Meijer for a refund.
