Ruffles Original Potato Chips recalled due to undeclared milk

Before you go putting out any chips to dip while watching this weekend’s playoff football games, you may want to double check they’re not part of the Frito Lay recall. Frito Lay and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration have issued a recall of a small number of Ruffles Original Potato Chips in 13 ½ oz. “Party Size” bags due to undeclared milk. This undeclared milk could be a serious concern for those with an allergy.

The undeclared milk allergen was due to a small batch of chips being placed in the wrong back. Fortunately, only a total of 50 bags were affected and ultimately needed to be recalled. The recalled chips were shipped to retailers in Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma, and Arkansas. No other Ruffles flavors or package sizes were recalled. So far, no illnesses have been reported to the FDA or Frito Lay. If you purchased the recalled products, you return them to your retailer for a refund.
