Kore Organic Watermelon CBD Oil recalled due to high levels of lead

If you’re one of the nearly 5 million Americans that say they use cbd oil on a daily basis, you’re going to want to double check the brand and flavor. Summitt Labs has issued a voluntary recall of their Kore Organic Watermelon CBD Oil after it was found to contain lead at levels of 4.7 ppm (parts per million). The findings were the results of testing by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.

Recalled Product:

Kore Organic Watermelon CBD Oil

Lot #K018

Batch #730

30 ml bottle

15mg

After the government’s findings were made known to Summitt Labs, they had an accredited lab conduct its own study on a random sample from the same tested batch, and the lead levels were only 500 ppb (parts per billion). In spite of Summitt’s new findings, they still thought it best to issue a recall. Summitt Labs has begun to contact customers and retailers to inform them of the recall. If you purchased the recalled product, you’re urged not to use it, and instead to return it to the place of purchase for a refund. Customers and retailers can contact Summitt Labs directly by phone at: (833) 810-5673 Monday-Friday 8a.m. to 5p.m. EST, or through the website at www.Koreorganic.com.
