King Arthur Flour expands their June recall of Unbleached All-Puropse Flour

On June 21st of this year we wrote about how 6 lots of King Arthur Flour were being recalled due to “the potential presence of E. coli.” originating with ADM MIlling Co. Well, they’ve now expanded the scope of their recall efforts to include more than 30 various lots of flour.

Unbleached All-Purpose Flour in 5 lb. and 25 lb. bags is the focus of the recall. E. coli O26 was discovered during a sampling of the newly recalled flour lots. The flour was manufactured by ADM Milling Co. in Buffalo, New York. It’s believed the E. coli contamination originates with them. As of the time of this posting, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, “King Arthur Flour has not received any confirmed reports of illness related to this product.”

Customers that purchased the recalled flour should not consume it. Instead it should be thrown away or returned to the store of purchase for a refund. If you want to know more about the King Arthur Flour recall, you can visit their recall page at: http://www.kingarthurflour.com/voluntaryrecall.
