Food Club Garlic Powder recalled due to undeclared soy

Bacon-bits in the wrong package, that contained soy, has led to the recall of Food Club Garlic Powder. The recall was initiated after more than 1,300 cases of garlic powder actually containing bacon bits with soy were shipped to retailers.

Recalled Product:

Food Club Garlic Powder

UPC # 0-36800-38295-4

Size 5.37 oz. (152g)

Best By - Nov. 19 2022 or Nov. 20 2022

The soy was of course not indicated on the label. The product was actually placed in clear packages, but the manufacturer decided to initiate the recall anyway out of an abundance of caution. This recall is especially important because individuals with a soy allergy are at risk for a serious or life-threatening reaction if consuming undeclared soy.

According to the Food and Drug Administration, only the above mentioned products from Food Club have been recalled at this time for the inclusion of soy. If you purchased the recalled product, you can return it to your retailer for a refund.
