Circle K branded chicken salad sandwiches recalled due to listeria concerns

LSG Sky Chefs produce chicken salad sandwiches for Circle K in Phoenix, AZ and Southern California. Today they and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced a voluntary recall because the sandwiches may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. This recall is actually linked to the nationwide recall of Tyson Foods Inc. chicken.

Recalled Products:

UPC: 815138013996

Best By date: 6/7/21 - 7/9/21

As we’ve unfortunately had to write about countless times, listeria can lead to listeriosis, which can be extremely dangerous for children, the elderly, those with weakened immune systems and pregnant/nursing mothers.

LSG and Circle K have already pulled all of the recalled sandwiches from store shelves. The recalled sandwiches were sold in stores as 5.9 oz. Circle K Chicken Salad Sandwich with UPC Code: 815138013996. These sandwiches were sold between June 1, 2021 and July 5, 2021. You can use the Best By date of 6/7/21 - 7/9/21 to help identify if you purchased the recalled products. If you’ve done so, you should discard them or return them to your local Circle K for a refund.
