Capri Sun Wild Cherry recalled due to presence of cleaning solution
Kraft Heinz, parent company of the kid-favorite plastic-pouch drink Capri Sun, has announced a recall of nearly 6,000 cases of Capri Sun Wild Cherry Flavored Juice Drink Blend pouches. The recall was initiated after several complaints to Kraft Heinz and the FDA from consumers regarding the taste of the product.
Recalled Product:
6.6 FL OZ Capri Sun Wild Cherry Flavored Juice Drink Blend
Manufacture Code on Pouch - 25 JUN 2023
Manufacture Code on Carton - 25 JUN 2023
Carton UPC - 0 8768400100 4
Case UPC - 876840040900
Kraft Heinz explained the decision behind in a statement that read in part, “ [a] diluted cleaning solution, which is used on food processing equipment, was inadvertently introduced into a production line at one of our factories…” The Wild Cherry juices were sold in stores nationwide, and Kraft Heinz is working to notify retailers and distributors aware of the recall. The aim is to remove the product from store shelves and circulation. It of course should not be consumed, but instead thrown away or returned to your local retailer for a refund.
