Recalled Product:

Organic Mint Chocolate Chip with Hidden Spinach

Best Before date: 10/08/2021

Ramar Foods is recalling their Peekaboo branded Organic Mint Chocolate Chip with Hidden Spinach over concerns of the presence of Listeria monocytogenes. The presence of which is especially concerning for young children, the elderly, or anyone with weakened immune systems. While only 33 containers were sold, the ice cream was distributed to Target stores in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina. The remaining containers of recalled ice cream have been pulled from store shelves.

The presence of the Listeria monocytogenes was discovered after Ramar Foods conducted a “routine” internal quality check. In addition to the product being pulled from store shelves, they’ve also temporarily halted production on the ice cream in question. If you purchased the recalled ice cream, you should not consume it, and instead contact Ramar Foods for a refund. They can be reached at: 844-491-7869, M-F 8-5pm EST, or by email at: ramarfoods5691@stericycle.com.
