Starbucks coffee energy drink recalled due to possible metal contamination

Back in 2015, PepsiCo Inc.and Starbucks partnered in the distribution of a number of Starbucks drinks in retail stores, specifically their coffee energy drinks. Now, a recall has been initiated by PepsiCo for a number of those beverages because they may be contaminated with “foreign materials”, specifically metal fragments.

Recalled Products:

Starbucks Vanilla Espresso Triple Shot

15 ounce bottles

1 case = 12 cans

In total, 221 cases of Starbucks Vanilla Espresso Triple Shot have been recalled by PepsiCo and Starbucks because of the possible presence of metal fragments. The recalled drinks were shipped to retailers in the following 7 states: Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Oklahoma, and Texas.

It’s important to note, the recalled products were only sold to retailers, and not in Starbucks restaurants. Customers that purchased the recalled products should return them to their retailer for a refund.
