Presence of undeclared milk and eggs leads to Trader Joe’s recall

More than 1,500 units of Trader Joe’s Southwest Style Sweet Potato Saute Bowls have been voluntarily recalled. The recall is due to the dressing included with the bowls containing milk and eggs, and they were not declared on the packaging. This can of course be extremely dangerous to those individuals with a dairy allergy.

Recalled Products:

21.5 oz. Trader Joe’s Southwest Style Sweet Potato Saute Bowl

Best By Dates of: 09/23/20, 09/24/20, 09/25/20, 09/26/20, and 09/28/20

The mislabeled bowls were distributed to nearly 40 Trader Joe’s stores, sold in the refrigerated section, and shipped to 8 states. Those states are: Arkansas, Colorado, Kansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Texas. So far, no illnesses have been reported due to this error. If you’ve purchased the recalled product, you should return it to Trader Joe’s for a full refund or throw it away.
